Yes. You can study every civics question in Spanish, but at the interview the civics questions are asked in English unless you qualify for an English exemption. Studying in both languages helps you understand and then answer in English.

Why study in both languages?
Spanish can help you understand what a question means. English practice helps you prepare to answer it aloud. Read a question in English, then check your understanding in Spanish. Return to English and practise your answer.
The app includes both the 2025 and 2008 question banks in both languages. Your filing date determines which bank you need for your interview.
Who can take the civics test in Spanish?
You may qualify for an English exemption under the 50/20 or 55/15 rules. Both use your age and permanent residence history when you file. If you qualify, you still take the civics test. You can take it in Spanish with your own interpreter.
If you also meet the 65/20 requirements, special civics consideration applies. You study 20 designated questions and answer 10. You need 6 correct answers.
Is the reading and writing test in English?
Yes, when the English test requirement applies to you. Studying in Spanish does not change the language of that test. An English exemption can remove the English test requirement. Check the official USCIS policy to see which rules apply to your case.
